Kodomo No Jikan is a 12 episode series about a 9 year old girl named Rin, and her two friends, Mimi and Kuro. Rin has a crush on her teacher, Daisuke Aoki. He teaches Rin and her two friends in Rin's 3rd grade class.Rin Kokonoe has a crush on her teacher, Aoki. She has two best friends, who's names are Mimi and Kuro. Rin's mom died from lung cancer when Rin was little, and now her cousin once removed, Reji, takes care of her. Rin flirts with Aoki, and wants him to be her boyfriend. Rin is mischievous is always teasing their teacher.
Kuro Kagami has a short temper and is one of Rin's friends. She is rich and buys a bunch of stuff, especially cute outfits. Kuro loves Rin, who likes their teacher and because of this, Kuro is constantly picking on him. Kuro's mom is hardly ever around and Kuro developed a friendship with the strict, no-nonsense teacher, Shirai, whom she admires. Kuro means black in Japanese, which is why Kuro dresses up as a black cat a lot.
Mimi Usa is Rin's other close companion, she is very shy and smart. Mimi was bullied
by their old teacher, and would not come to school school in fear of being bullied again until Aoki assured her that he would not treat her like her former teacher did. Mimi's mom strongly favors her older brother and
is always mad at Mimi for growing so fast. Mimi has a crush on Rin's dad, Reji.
